"Each one of them has had someone in their lives who believed in them, who championed them, nurtured their giftedness and talents, and we must never underestimate the importance of significant others – be they a parent, a grandparent, a teacher, a friend, a colleague – as catalysts for success. And each has had a goal or purpose accompanied by resilience which enabled them to persist through challenges and learn from knockbacks. If we as parents and teachers can cultivate that resilience in our gifted children, we will be giving them a great gift..."
