At times gifted children can be misdiagnosed with learning challenges when in fact they are demonstrating characterises of giftedness.  Deb Walker our Chief Executive was recently interviewed for TV3 Story and reminds parents and educators that when a child is perceived as being naughty we often look for what is wrong when we should be looking at what is right. Giftedness is about who the child is and not just what they do, sometimes children who are not receiving enough intellectual rigour or stimulation in their learning become disinterested or bored and act out their frustrations in inappropriate ways.
